Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Service Description

Bersyn (“the Service”) is an AI identity infrastructure platform. The Service provides a Product Identity Layer (PIL) protocol that allows companies to attest their canonical product identity, measure how AI systems represent that identity, and generate attested artifacts to close representation gaps.

2. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address and create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. PIL Attestation

The PIL attestation protocol provides a cryptographic record linking generated artifacts to your verified product identity. Attestation indicates that content was generated from your canonical identity source — it does not constitute a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any particular purpose.

You are responsible for reviewing all attested artifacts before publishing or distributing them. Bersyn provides the attestation infrastructure; editorial responsibility remains with you.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to generate misleading, fraudulent, or harmful content.
  • Attest identity claims you are not authorized to make.
  • Connect repositories or identity sources you do not have permission to access.
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, billing controls, or rate limits.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the Service's source code or protocols.
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations.

5. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all artifacts generated through the Service, including attested content, identity documents, and published materials. Bersyn does not claim any intellectual property rights over your generated artifacts, repository data, or identity sources. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. AI Scanning & Measurement

The Service queries third-party AI providers (including but not limited to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Perplexity) to measure how your product is represented. Scan results reflect AI model outputs at the time of measurement and may vary between scans. Bersyn does not control or guarantee the responses of third-party AI systems.

7. Billing & Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly at the rates displayed at the time of purchase. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We will provide reasonable notice for planned downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bersyn and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in activity that harms the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
